It's an old car, and I needed to take it back a couple of weeks later because of an engine misfire. They ran a compression test and, unfortunately, told me it would be an expensive repair. After talking it over with them, though, they told me that it probably wasn't worth it and I was better off putting the money towards a new car. They even offered to keep an eye out for cars that were being put up for sale once spring rolls around, and to give me a call if anything worth looking at came through their shop.
They're great mechanics, very friendly, punctual, and honest. Can't ask for anything more than that.
If I could give zero stars I would. I brought in my truck 6 weeks ago and Albert said it may take a couple weeks, I was fine with that. I called after two weeks and he said he might have time to check it out that day. I waited two more weeks to call and he still had not even taken a look at it. I called again at the six week mark and was told that he had been ill. I understand that if you are sick and cannot work that is okay, but I could have been given a call by his employee letting me know that it would be months before it would get looked at. Now that he is back to work I was told by an employee of his that I should call back after the first of the year. I overheard Albert in the background amidst his cussing say " he is better off taking it elsewhere". Why did you not tell me that six weeks ago if you had not ever planned on working on my truck? I am highly disapppointed with this establishment and how unprofessionally I was treated. I will be sure to tell everyone I know to avoid going to your shop.
Couldn't be more pleased with my service here. Took my car in twice, once for a minor repair (wheel bearing). They were very upfront about the costs and let me know that that I had some other repairs that doing some additional repairs within six months or so would save me money down the road, but weren't pushy about it. Just genuinely trying to look out for me.
I went by to get a check up on my vehicle, found out about a bunch of issues with the car which they told me about and explained, were up front about pricing, and which of them needed to be done right away versus those that could be done over time. Excellent car shop, "I try to treat the customers money like I would treat my own, I don't want to waste money on something that isn't needed, and neither do you. That's why I tell you folks about everything up front, I'd rather have a long term customer who I know and who trusts me, than a large chunk of cash up front and no customers.
Had a flat tire due to a puncture during a snow storm. I called them and less than an hour later was back on the road. Very reasonable rates, would definitely recommend this shop.
Since getting flooded out of Waterbury I have not been able to get to this station but in the past few months Albert has helped me diagnose my problems with my car. Albert is a fair and honest mechanic- a rare find these days. Thank you for the awesome service!!!
