Great food. Had breakfast for lunch at the bar. Food came quite fast considering it was made fresh. Biscuits were unique. Do recommend them and a visit there.
Got up and left and got stopped at the door with an offer for free coffee.. said "No Thanks" to which the reply was.. "we're the only place in town that serves breakfast, you know.."
So I decided to stop at this little place on my first trip into Vermont. I got the goat cheese and bacon and spinach omelette and he was flipping fantastic. It was a rustic, country style diner and the wait staff was very friendly(and cute).
We had breakfast, was fast and very good. Unlike other places, the scrambled eggs were cooked perfect, not chopped on a flat top. The Benedict was amazing, bacon crispy, coffee was great, but honestly, a little high priced. It is in Waterbury, down the road from the roaster, should be a buck less a cup! But it's a great amount of food for a good price.
GREAT food at a VERY reasonable price... accompanied by great service.
Family owned and operated. Very good and huge portions. I would recommend to anyone looking for breakfast all day. Better then any place I have been.
UPDATE.. went back again.. after being seated by a hostess, we sat for 15 minutes without so much as a cup of coffee while 3 waitresses and a manager chatted behind the bar.
We went to the NEXT town and had a delightful breakfast at JP's on The 117 in Essex Junction.
